Syntonic Phototherapy

Syntonic Phototherapy, also known as Optometric Phototherapy, uses visible light frequencies to enhance visual attention and the ability to understand what we see.  Syntonic Phototherapy is designed to balance the autonomic nervous system, which controls our perceptual visual fields.  This procedure has been clinically used for over 90 years, and has proven to have a high rate of success.

Children with learning problems and individuals under visual stress often have reduced perceptual visual fields.  Reduced fields can impact the volume of information received through the eyes, which can then adversely affect daily living, academic achievement, work performance, and athletic performance.

Individuals with limited perceptual visual fields may experience:

  • Loss of place while reading
  • Skipping lines or words
  • Words move on the page
  • Reduced concentration
  • Reduced comprehension
  • Problems with coordination and balance
  • Impaired driving ability
